Q: Are you open?
A: Yes we are. Please refer to our COVID-19 response page for more details on our approach to guest safety.
CHECKING IN & OUT
Q: When is check-in and check-out?
A: Generally, we’d be happy to welcome you after 3pm on the day you arrive, and we’ll part ways with you by 11am on your departure date.
Q: Where do I check in?
A: Head in the main doors on South Main Street, and you can check in at the counter for Hustle & Dough.
Q: Can I check in early?
A: We can’t wait to see you either. We’ll give you a solid “Maybe” – shoot us a text letting us know you’re interested, and we’ll let you know on your arrival day if early check-in is available.
Q: Can I check out late?
A: We don’t want you to go either. We’ll give you a solid “Maybe” – shoot us a text letting us know you’re interested, and we’ll let you know on your arrival day if late check-out is available. There might be a small fee.
Q: Seems like you copy and pasted part of that answer.
A: That’s the kind of thoughtful efficiency you can expect when you stay with us.
Q: Anything else I need to know about check-in?
A: Like most great things in life, you gotta be 21 to do it.
Q: I did some great things before I turned 21.
A: Nothing as great as checking into one of our rooms, no doubt.
Q: Do the rooms have fridges?
A: Yes, all rooms have a fridge. And we stock it with filtered water.
Q: When will housekeeping be by?
A: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, housekeeping will only come by request. Just shoot us a text and let us know when you’ll be out of the room.
Q: Do you have rollaways or cribs?
A: Nope, sorry.
Q: Can I smoke in my room?
A: No. And we’ll charge you $250 if you do.
Q: Can I vape in my room?
A: Vaping is smoking.
Q: No it’s not.
A: Sorry, friend.
Q: I’m not your friend, bro.
A: I’m not your bro, pal.
Q: I’m not your pal, friend.
A: Alright, alright. Just don’t vape please.
Q: Do you allow dogs?
A: Yes, as long as they’re well behaved and you don’t leave them alone in the room. We don’t charge fees for pets, but you’re responsible for any damage or mess they make just like if it was caused by a human.
Q: Do you allow service animals?
A: Of course!
Q: Do you allow cats?
Q: What about a service cat?
A: Are there service cats?
Q: I think so.
A: What service can a cat provide?
Q: Quiet judgement.
Q: Can I bring some other exotic animal that I probably shouldn’t own but I do because I love her so much?
A: No, but shoot us a text if you want to make a pitch. (That way we can tell you “no” personally.)
Q: Do you have bikes or scooters for rent?
A: Technically, we don’t have any bikes or scooters for rent. But step outside our front door, and you’ll be lucky not to trip on scooters and bikes from any of the half-dozen companies that have invaded downtown Memphis with them.
Q: Are you near a trolley stop?
A: There’s one right in front of our front door, in fact.
Q: What other forms of transportation are around?
A: Since we’re close to Beale Street, you’ll see the full range of touristy options. We see people driving those weird-looking buggies around downtown, and there are also handsome cabs and pedicabs around on weekends. If dignity isn’t your thing, a few groups offer Segway tours around Downtown Memphis.
Q: Got any hot tips to help me plan my visit?
A: Heck yeah we do! Check out our awesome How to Memphis field guide for all our hot takes on stuff to do around here.
Q: Are you close to Beale Street?
A: We’re close enough that it’s an easy walk, but far enough that you won’t have to hear the scene there (or see or smell the remnants the next morning) once you’ve had your fill.
Q: Are you close to Downtown?
A: We like to think that we’re in Downtown, but it’s a short walk and an even shorter scooter or trolley ride to get to the center of Downtown.
Q: Are you close to the Convention Center?
A: Yeah, though it’s maybe a bit further than you’d want to walk. But it’s an easy scooter ride or a quick Uber.
Q: Do you have any restaurants and bars on site?
A: Boy, do we! Head outside and down the alley for Longshot, a shuffleboard bar and restaurant that’s quickly become a local favorite. (Pop down on league nights to see some seriously shuffleboard skills on display.) On the main level, we have Hustle & Dough, a bakery with homemade breads and pastries, and coffee from Vice & Virtue. Or if you’re looking for something a little stiffer, pop over to Bar Hustle, serving up delicious cocktails, wine and beer from happy hour until late night.
Q: Do you have room service?
A: No, but we won’t judge you if you come down to pick up an order in your robe and slippers. We’re also covered by Postmates, UberEats and other delivery services, so you’ve got a ton of options for dining in your room.
Q: Do you have free WiFi?
A: Yeah. Crazy that some hotels still charge for that, huh?
Q: Do you have a concierge?
A: We don’t use that title, lest it go to anyone’s head with that fancy French pronunciation and all, but you can text us any time before, during or after your stay with whatever request or question you’ve got, and we’ll do our best to help you out.
Q: What’s the best and cheapest way to book a room?
A: Right here. You’ll always get the cheapest rates and best service by booking through our website.
Q: Can I cancel or change my reservation?
A: Yes, you can modify your reservation by clicking on the “modify/cancel reservation” link at the bottom of our booking page. If it’s something more complicated or you need to talk to us, email us at email@example.com. For information on cancellation policies and refunds, please check your confirmation email.
MEETINGS & EVENTS
Q: Do you have meeting space?
A: We do! We have a conference room with a variety of flexible setups for meeting, office and group use for 20+ people. You can also use our Poker Room – which holds up to 8 people — if you want a different vibe for your session.
Q: What’s this about a poker room?
A: Our Poker Room on the 2nd floor is designed in the style of Elvis’ Billiards Room at Graceland. Shoot us an email or text if you’re interested in renting it out for a private event or meeting.
Q: Do you do weddings?
A: We can certainly host your guests and do room blocks, and we may be able to pull off some gatherings in our meeting room, Poker Room or at our shuffleboard bar and restaurant Longshot. You’ll probably need to hold your ceremony and main reception elsewhere, but we know some cool places. Contact us here if you want to learn more.
